This is an intermediate level course and not intended for inexperienced shooters. Prospective participants must demonstrate that they have the necessary skills, knowledge, and attitudes by producing ANY of the following:
- NC Concealed Carry Handgun Permit
- NRA Basic of Pistol Shooting Course Certificate
- NRA FIRST Steps Pistol orientation Certificate
- NRA Pistol Competitive Shooting Qualification Card
- Military DD 214 with Pistol Qualification
- or passing the Pre-Course Assessment

Course details
Students should expect to shoot a minimum of 100 rounds of ammunition. Students will learn basic defensive shooting skills, strategies for home safety, and how to respond to a violent confrontation.
